Only Ten Days Until Blizzcon

As of this writing, we are just 10 days away from Blizzcon. The annual convention celebrating all things Blizzard Entertainment.

For those who aren't in the know, or are new to Blizzard. Every year they do a convention, its basically their version of E3. They hold panels, Esport events, and have announcements. Blizzcon is a very hype time, since this event foreshadows everything that is going to happen in the coming year. If you cannot attend in person, you can watch it online using a virtual ticket. For 39.99, you gain access to the entire convention, which will be streamed on twitch.tv, and it also gives you some virtual goodies.

This year, the virtual goodies run the gambit of all of their titles. Everything from Starcraft to Overwatch.

And of course, with Blizzcon around the corner. The rumor mill is running crazy. As you all know, I love me some rumors. So lets break it down. I'm just going to cover the big ones and not every single rumor, as that would take ages to break down.

1) WoW expansion. A lot of rumors have been going around about a new WoW expansion, and with the Legion story line almost done. Now would be a a great time for the next expansion announcement. Rumor has it that its going to feature the Naga empire with a playable Naga character. I actually reported on this rumor back in May. You can read that right here. Or maybe the Old Gods? Legion has been pointing us towards them this whole end half of the expansion pack. Either way, a new WoW expansion is a good thing.

2) New Overwatch character. The Overwatch comic has introduced us to a lot of new characters in the Overwatch lore (Maximilian any body?). Jeff and company announcement Sombra at last years event, and there is zero doubt that we will be getting a new hero this year. And the better be a support character. Thats all I'm saying.

3) New IP? Blizzard announced that it is hiring for 2 lead software engineers and a senior technical animation artist for an unannounced title. All 3 jobs are requiring that the person has “experience with games that use a first-person perspective.”. Could be a new IP or could be the Overwatch single player campaign that everybody has been asking for. Either way, it sounds very interesting.

4) Warcraft 2nd movie. If you haven't watched the first Warcraft movie, then do so. It wasn't really bad. If you have, then we may be getting a new movie to continue with the story line after (adorable) baby Thrall was picked up by the humans. I enjoyed the first movie, so I'm hyped for a second one.

5) Diablo 3 character. Rumors are going around about a possible new\old character returning to Diablo 3. Maybe the Druid class? We have no clue, but Blizzard has come out and said that there will be no Diablo 3 news coming at Blizzcon this year. Which doesn't leave out the possibility of us finally getting the Diablo 2 remaster that has been rumored for 5 years now.

Blizzcon starts on November 3rd and runs until November 5th. We will report all of the announcements right here.
